Halloween with H!P

It’s a pity we don’t have Halloween in Poland. All the trick-or-treating, horror movies and Jack-o’-lanterns sound like great fun. What we have in exchange? All Saints’ Day.

Well, not those.

The next day is the All Souls’ Day which basically means All Dead People’s Day but somehow Roman Catholic Church haven’t found the name fancy enough. Wanting to save some time we celebrate both of those days on the 1st of November. Btw it lead to major misunderstandings like for instance totally forgetting about the saints and going to the cemetery and getting your ass frostbitten during a long mass (I’ve been there and I will probably be there again tomorrow).

As you can see it’s kinda hard to party all night if you know that the next day, early morning, you’re gonna stand next to your deceased relative’s grave and listen to the passionate sermon about death spiced with lots of gruesome digressions about people dieing unexpectedly and kids crying at the funeral  (it’s  the same topic every year). Yep. Not gonna happen.

But lets just imagine that it DOES happen. So, I got to prepare for the party. Which costume should I choose?

Most Halloween costumes are relatively slutty.

A slutty bouquet of slutty flowers? Advantages: pointy nipples are very promising. Disadvantages: it can get kinda cold in November, you know.

Slutty Santa?Advantages: can be re-used for the Christmas Eve parties. Disadvantages: it’s hard to get rid of fur from the couch.

Slutty… slut? With a yo-yo? Advantages: yo-yo for free Disadvantages: might be troublesome if you’re allergic to latex

But not all costumes must be slutty.  Sometimes you want to send a different message like: ‘I’m creative or just plain crazy’. You need to have a wacky costume.

A pink fish costume? Advantages: it sparkles in the dark. Disadvantages: hard to get laid

A cockroach costume? Advantages: very original. Disadvantages: can cause brain damage and severe diarrhoea in people seeing it for the first time

Cow costume? Advantages: cute as hell Disadvantages: does it make me look fat?

Dog with a giant head costume? Advantages: the giant head, duh Disadvantages: it’s very hard to get rid of white fur from the coach. Srsly

A football ball costume? Advantages: the ballsiest costume you can get Disadvantages:jokes work better if you have 2 balls, if you know what I mean *wink wink*

The pinnacle, bananas and some dead babies costume? Advantages: can’t get any weirder than THAT Disadvantages: none.

The hats costume? Advantages: you can always lend someone a hat. Disadvantages: you can always be tricked into giving someone a hat

H!P has plentiful of great costumes for Halloween. What’s your pick?

Another aspect of Halloween that I envy you is horror, the parade of macabre and fear. It’s nice to have one day designed to scare the living shit out of you and have fun at the same time. You think that H!P is devoid of such treats? Think again.

We have All Saints Day here too. But Halloween is starting to be kinda popular. Hmmm when I was younger nobody cared about Halloween XD

I think I’d wear the monkey costume in Yuke Yuke XDD

Monkey costume is such a cutie 😀
Halloween gains more and more attention here but only in bigger cities. I spend All Saints’ Day at home with ma family in a very VERY small village so no Halloween goodies for me 🙂
