Dai 1 Kai Hello! Project Shinjin Kouen ~Saru no Koku~ / ~Tori no Koku~

1. Young DAYS!!

First song and first impressions. It looks like All for one and one for all PV but it’s not necessarily a bad thing. School uniforms is a universal idea for good costumes in Japan (AKB48 know something about it). Girls are into the dancing and since my last concert review was a review of AKB48 team A’s 4th stage it’s a relief. I don’t care whether Tsunku bribes them, beats them or persuades them in any other way – but girls really do their best. The song is The Possible’s single and it screams SEISHUN!!! >o<

The second girl on the right has the misfortune of wearing the ugliest version of a uniform (very similar to those worn by Berryz in All for 1 and 1 for all)

2. Special Generation

A strange choice for the second song but a good one nonetheless. Solo line were given mostly to non-Eggs. It was the first opportunity to listen to new girls, to have them shine in spotlight rather than be background fillers.

Sweet JunJun. Her vocals are far from perfect. She screams her lines and I shudder at the thought of listening to the mic hack 😮

Aika really sucks at pulling off fierce and smexy. She’s a teddy bear, an itsy bitsy pumpkin with chubby cheeks and tic-tac teeth.

She really has outdone herself here. Maybe she’s just better with songs in which her constant pissed off expression fits.

Mori Saki!!! Rabuyuu!!!!

Kanon?! Is that you? You’re so cute! Awww…

…^$#@%^&    WTF is that creature?! Tsunku went blind during the auditions? Oh, it’s Chisato’s sister Asuna Okai. Chisato must be really ashamed for Asuna to be her sister. I bet Asuna kept on following older sister and whining about being popular that Chisato begged Tsunku to take her away. Tsunku never says no to a lolli. Never.

Eww… D: Were you in Ongaku Gatas? It’s the futsal group, right? Have you received a ball right into your face? A FOOTBALL, you ugly perv D:

I wish that I didn’t know this one.

Bwuahahaha… Sayaka, you poor little ugly creature. Work on your abs, that’s the only chance for success. Or a face lifting with a  saw.

Who could have expected to discover an idol  stuck in such a chubby gnome.  Don’t worry Maeda, nobody now remembers this concert XD

Aww Sakitty on the other hand is even cuter.

No hug for you, Nocchi D: GTFO

NO…FUCKING…WAY!!! Saho Akari?! Was the girl in Yume to Genjitsu a Saho Akari pretty double?

Kikkawa Yuu! She’s so adorable! Why giving screen time to unsightly Gollums like Nocchi while a princess like her stays in the shadow? Milky Way doesn’t count.

Wada Ayaka? Who in the name of Yuko Nakazawa Queen of Hades did this to your hair?! Shoot that guy D:

Arai Manami. Recognisable because she’s tiny and wears glasses. A  pity she lacks personality.

3. GET UP! Rapper

You can’t treat seriously a song with a line: Get up’a rappa era get down.

During the first watching I focused on JunJun, LinLin and even noticed Mori Saki but totally skipped the rest. One of the skipped Eggs was a future Aibon Junior. Now, watching this performance I had my eyes glued to this little girl with an amazing voice. Kanon, my luvv.

4. Yeah! Meccha Holiday

Never was a fan of this song. A skip.

5. Chokotto Love

Saho and Wada? I would have never guessed it’s you D:

Those sweatshirts are thick! They’re like private saunas. EWWW I’m against overly revealing costumes on small kids but if you gave them shorts it might be rational to give them at least something short-sleeved.

6.Zettai Tokeru Mondai X=♡

You’re such a midget, Saki XD

Embrace the plumper outfits. Where’s Girl ~Koi no Victory~? Those are costumes for this song, right? So why singing some random Ayaya’s song nobody remembers?

7.  Girl ~Koi no Victory~

That’s more like it 😀 But I srsly have enough of this song. I bet that the girls are also fed up with it.

8. Shushoku=GOHAN no Uta

The Possible’s single got me hooked up immediately until I read the translation on http://tnlyrix.com/the-possible/shushoku-gohan-no-uta

(…) You see, if you eat rice
Your energy will boil up immediately

9. Mini Strawberry~ Pie

A kid’s song with uber cute lyrics about Pie Ai Ai Ai, and original MiniMoni costumes on small kids. What can possibly go wrong? The answer is – NOCCHI

She sings her lines in this exaggerated annoyingly high pitched voice with an idiotic lisp in ‘Shtrawberry’. Only Koha would have done it convincingly.

10. Pittari Shitai X’mas!

Why Saki not JunJun? Little Saki seems out of place and Aika/Kanna’s send death glares her way. Pittari Shittari X’mas is an example of a song which always sounds better when not performed by original squad. Hitomi looks strange while acting cute, Yasuda is the very anti-definition of cute and Goto is not enough to save the day. Aika/Kanna/Saki version is very nice. Especially, the adorable outfits. Just one thing bothers me. The performance was filmed in May. Hey, it’s never too early to wish for perfect Christmas!

11.Osaka Koi no Uta aka Ogawa Saki rocks my socks

In the original version Takitty showed off her vocals and gripped my heart, even if just for this song. Her solo version of it during the Rainbow 7 concert is the best existing version of this song. In Hello Pro Egg version, Saki plays the role of the riida and she owns it big time.

12. Love & Pea~ce! HERO ga Yattekita

It’s the song to enjoy during the concert and skip while watching on a screen. And skip shall I do XD

13. Piriri to Yukou!

Oh the times Risako was still a cute girl. A very nostalgic song just like Special Generation. A crowd’s entertainer. AGAIN. How many of them are there?

14. LOVE Machine

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have mercy!!!!!

15. I know

Don’t stomp on Arai Manami!

Phew, that’s more like it. At the time, I skipped this song as another random Ayaya’s song that no one remembers but I fell in love with it after H!P 10th anniversary concert.

16. Da Di Du De Do Da Di!

Hell yeah! It’s the random-title-wtf song! Me love it 😀 Da Di Du De Do Da Di 😀 My friends don’t believe me that I know a song a with a title like that. Nothing is impossible in Tsunku Cafe.

It was a sentimental journey and I highly recommend taking it.  Eggs are fresh, quirky and do their best for our entertainement.  Bon appetite.

“Nothing is impossible in Tsunku Cafe.”

    is this a really old Eggs concert? Like… their first one or something? and I think the uniforms at the beginning might actually be recycled from All For One and One For All -_-;

    • 2. ladybird  |  February 28, 2010 at 10:29 PM

Most of the uniforms in this concert are recycled. I noticed the ones from Wonderful Hearts in 2006, Konkon and Ogawa’s graduation 🙂
Yeah, it’s their first major concert. They performed earlier but not like that.

I see. Thanx for reviewing, I shall add it to my Do Not Watch list. Maybe the Berryz concert I watched recently wasn’t so bad after all XD

Oh and eww Fukuda and Ogawa!

      You’re welcome XD

Werid concert :/ is it an Eggs x TNX concert? THen what the hell are Aika and Junjun doing there? O-o

xD The singles outfits idea is cheap but so cute.

It’s the first Hello!Project concert to introduce new members. At the time: Aika, JunJun, LinLin and Kanna were rookies in their groups, The Possible strived for attention and Hello!Pro Eggs were given the first concert. All the unappreciated goodies in one concert 🙂
