Morning Musume ‘Yuujou ~Onna ga Osaka koi jirretai~’

This cunning little bastard called Tsunku thinks that he can sell the same warmed up PV cutlet. He washed the mould and pumped the meat with water to make it appear bigger and juicy. It doesn’t look nice and it certainly is indigestible. Luckily, the song is good enough for me to buy this cutlet.

Ok, what do we have here? Oh yes, the leftovers from Iroppoi Jirettai mixed with Osaka koi no Uta and Yuujou ~Kokoro no Busu ni Naranee!~ under a new label : Onna ga medatte naze ikenai. Splendid.

Similarities are obvious but if  you need any visuals – here they are.

1. Iroppoi Jirettai

– setting

– colour

2. Osaka koi no Uta

– setting (AGAIN)

– colour (AGAIN)

notice the ‘incredible’ dance performed during the chorus

Iroppoi Jirettai already recycled Osaka koi no uta’s concepts (setting, flames) but doing almost the same thing (excluding the flames) the third time?!

3. Yuujou ~Kokoro no Busu ni Naranee!~

– runway

with a dash of Fighting Pose wa Date ja nai!’s posing

– make-up scenes

with a dash of Munasawagi Scarlet and LALALA Shiawase’s mirror scenes

No more evidence is needed, right? So the PV is boring cause everything has been seen and recycled and then recycled again and again until it died :O But is it really a total disaster? Let’s look for some good points.

The first scene, when Momusus enter a corridor and sing while walking is really cool. They look gangsta >o< Except for Reina who keeps on pouting.

JunJun is her own beautiful self while LinLin seems irritated. She wants to kick some ass.

While Reina keeps on pouting … Btw, why the disco ball?! It’s not Dakishimetex2!

A cap for all Aika’s haters out there 🙂 Although, her smile looks awkward at times and her hairstyle in this PV is horrible I like her. She’s very huggable.

Sayu has her usual ‘AH’ part. Hey Tsunku, she really did well with Yowamushi! Give her a chance 😀 (somebody in the back enjoys herself immensely 😀 naughty, naughty)

After the first chorus there was one WTF moment. Between Eri’s  lines there was a pause and some random words appeared on screen. I translated them for you. Enjoy.

True, true XD

And now the greatest surprise of this PV. OMFG is it really Gaki?! Holy macaroni, she looks truly gorgeous and classy! Both thumbs up. She actually deserves bigger caps XD

What about the song? I love the intro and the bridge with violins. Innovative and DRAMATIC. Must love it 🙂 It’s a pity that the main theme of the PV is ‘Look stunning with boring props, same costumes and setting’. Some managed to do it (look, Gaki) and some failed miserably (the rest).

OMG! that is sooooo true. it didn’t even occure to me that the PV’s were being recycled again. i knew about the similarities between Onna and Osaka with the costumes (tho i think these costumes are better) but i’m still new to H!P so i haven’t seen all of MM’s PVs yet. Will have to look at Yuujou.

I noticed the dance stage was similar to Iroppoi Jirettai, but not the other two…

Who did Yuujou ~Kokoro no Busu ni Naranee!~ ? It looks like Iida Kaori… is it a solo song of hers?

    • 4. ladybird  |  February 3, 2010 at 1:17 PM

It was Otome Gumi, a shuffle group and Iida was a member of if. They only made 2 songs as a group.

You know, I’d forgotten that there were make-up scenes in Yuujou ~Kokoro no Busu ni Naranee!~. This video’s only redeeming quality now is Linlin density.

And the random words that pop up are just the title of the single 😛

    • 6. ladybird  |  February 3, 2010 at 4:37 PM

Why insert the title of the song in the form of a static card in the middle of the actual song? Is it some kind of subliminal message gone wrong? XD

      • 7. zoumusume  |  February 3, 2010 at 4:48 PM

Yeah, I think it’s weird that they put the title in like that only once. Maybe it would make more sense if they had flashed it a couple of times. My guess is that they were short a frame or two and got lazy.

Hehe sounds like a good idea.
Mr Video Editor 1: We need two more frames, guys THINK for God’s sake.
Mr Video Editor 2: A shot of LinLin’s armpits?
Mr Video Editor 1: Did I say THINK?
Mr Video Editor 3: Hey, let’s put a random frame of the song’s title!
Mr Video Editor 1: That’s what I was talking about! Good job, guys.

The mirrors remind me of that MikiMiyaMegu trio.
I have yet to hear this.

This one, that’s how I remember the group, heh. 😉

    • 14. ladybird  |  February 4, 2010 at 9:44 PM

Oh, you’re right 🙂 I suppose that mirrors are a recurring theme in H!P PVs, just proving how lazy Tsunku became D:

      • 15. Meyouu  |  February 4, 2010 at 9:45 PM

        The situation is serious… 😮

gaki is gorgeous yes ♥♥♥♥♥ how do you make those gifs? lols XD

    • 17. ladybird  |  February 5, 2010 at 5:05 PM

Furimukanaide said that she does her gifs in Gimp so I tried it out. It’s really a great tool 🙂 I think I’m using a different method than her but I’m not sure 🙂 so here’s mine:
      1. download and install Gimp (duh XD)
      2. make many screenshots of a part that you want to later turn into a gif. I recommend GOM player. You play the part and press screenshot button a lot and the player automatically saves them to a folder.
      3. Open the first screenshot in Gimp
      4. In the same document choose the option “Open as layers (or something like that cause I have a Polish version :D) and pick the rest of the screenshots
      5. You can resize the picture (it will affect all the layers)
      6. While saving it add *gif at the end of the file’s name. In the options of saving the file you’ll be asked whether you want it to be an animation. Yes you do and here you are . a brand new gif 🙂
      hope I helped. It’s a lot of fun 🙂
