Era of the Green Giant!

My recent post was about releasing your inner Risako lover. We all know that miss Sugaya is the Queen of Screen Time and the resident of the  Line-Whoring Land (along with Takitty, Reina and Airi ).

EVERYWHERE

The newest PV to the song Shining Power falls into the same Risako-worshipping category and is full of Risako love. NOT. Ladies and gentlemen, a new Berryz member gets the spotlight. Miyabi? Momoko? CAPTAIN?!

Non of the above. It’s  Era of the Green Giant! And I’m gonna cap the hell out of her…

She looks absolutely stunning, marvellous, ravishing, excellent, superb,  dazzling (Bella: “Wait a minute, it’s my line!” Me:”Shurrup! Btw, Edward is mine *punch*”), brilliant, astonishing et cetera and so on so forth. It doesn’t mean that she isn’t our cute awkward giant. Not at all. But the hair, the screen time, the dress (pants?) make her beauty blossom. She deserves it.

Risako didn’t take it too well…

For all the devastated Risako fans, I’ve got good news. Miss Sugaya DOES appear in the PV and she receives some pretty shots.

Well, pretty as to Risako-lovers’ standards. I’m not really into finger-in-my-mouth pose. Who knows the previous whereabouts of the said finger, huh?

But it is kinda cute I read from her lips : Uśmiechnij się (Smile) Aww…

Chest version of the "HIGH FIVE!" *thump*

Yurina is in the centre for the whole PV and me like it It fits cause she’s so tall and towers over other girls even when they are in front of her.

The background of the PV is simple but creative. The storyline on the other hand may have been improved but oh well. It’s still better than Momusu’s Seishun Collection.

Yurina seeks while the rest hides. Going from the far left:

Chinami (NOT Chisato, cause Chisato is in C-ute… nevermind ) seems confident with her hiding place. Well, she’s either confident or she simply doesn’t care

Maasa lurks from behind the yellow carton block.

Momoko thinks she’s brilliant cause she’s standing behind the green block. She just kinda forgot about her feet.

Miyabi squished Risako in the corner and they both most probably grope each other. Hm… perhaps I know the secret of Risako’s finger’s previous whereabouts….

Captain mirrors Maasa and lurks behind the block.

Yurina can’t be fooled easily…

Captain is the first to go. Strange, I thought that her hiding place is the best *shrugs*

Momoko makes another deadly mistake. She looks around her block to check on Yurina.

And you’re out Momo. Boy, does she sulk about it. It’s hilarious

Those two pervs also get caught. BUSTED you naughty girls. Where’s your right hand, Sugaya? SUGAYA PULL OUT YOUR FINGER THIS INSTANT!

Chinami just chills out. The game clearly bores her.

Still, she looks gorgeous :* Cute winky! As opposed to Reina’s Wink of Doom D:

Next game – the favourite sport of japanese people – ping-pong. It’s cute and fun to watch but not particularly.

Only two moments caught my attention:

1. Momoko missing her ball aproximately by 5 inches in the least.

FAIL

2. Miyabi promising Risako a sweet revenge.

Otherwise, it was kinda uneventful. Now, a couple of things concerning:

THE SONG

It has the Seishun Bus Guido and Ryuusei Boy feel to it which is quite bad as I’m not a huge fan of neither of these songs. Shining Power definitely won’t be included on my mp3.

THE OUTFITS

Many of my friends hate the outfits but I don’t have such strong feelings about them. Perhaps, Miyabi’s headband/headcloth/monstrosity is a major no-no but overall the outfits are fine. Well, Maasa’s could be improved but more about her later.

THE CHOREOGRAPHY

At first, I ignored the dance. Nothing special about it. It’s neither bad or good. Just plain. But then I paid more attention to it and I got annoyed by some moves.

You got the point by now, right?

The second move I like to call “Telebimu” or “Manualu” is a cute move I personally love:

Airi uses it in Wakkanai (Z). Mind you, she uses it ONCE in the song:

“Konna toki MANUALU..”

But in Shining Power this move is used again and again and then some more.

THE MAASA

Yes, you read well. Maasa fails in the PV big time. Why? She dances like a robot that desperately needs oiling, she looks like a sturdy lumberjack and even wears his outfit. Just look:

Director: “Okay Maasa. We’ll do some solo angles. I want you to stand stiffly. Yeah, just like that. Uber cute! And now relax your face so it looks like you don’t care. You pinned it!”

Director: “Now give me the most awkward smile you can master. You’re nearly there. Raise your eyebrows a little. The right one should be slightly higher. Perfect.”

Maasa: “Am I doing it right? I mean the other girls seem a bit cuter..”

Director:”Not at all, Massa dearest! It’s not that they look like adorable puppets and you look like a retarded hip-hop dancer wannabe. Not.At. All.”

Maasa:”Am I supposed to smile and have fun or something?”

Director:”CUT! Thank you everybody, now the other scene…”

MEANWHILE, other girls:

Sorry Maasa, but you got pwned.

Sweet Jesus, just look at her as walks straight to the camera at the very end of the PV!
